The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) states that: “during an outbreak in a specific area, it would be appropriate for employers to plan for a total workplace absenteeism rate of between 20% and 30%.   Pandemics can affect business in numerous ways such as employee absenteeism, customer orders delayed or cancelled, suppliers not providing material, etc.

The purpose of this course is to help businesses minimize the risk that a pandemic poses to the health and safety of the employees and the sustained operation of the business.  This course will help you plan and prepare for the pandemic and help minimize the adverse effects of the pandemic to the business.
